Controller – Technology Company
Description:
The Controller at Our client is responsible for finance and accounting operations including periodic financial reports for stakeholders, maintaining a set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance accuracy of reported financial results, and ensure compliance with US generally accepted accounting principles..Our client is largely owned by private equity firm, that has helped Our client drive profitable growth and scale. The Controller will be instrumental in reporting results and responding to questions from our private lenders.This is a senior-level position located in our headquarters office (MoCo, MD).This role is currently in office two days a week (Tue, Wed).
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting and statements in accordance with management requirements (US GAAP)
- Research technical accounting issues
- Develop and implement accounting policies
- Manage treasury operations and cash
- Monitor debt levels and debt covenants
- Compare performance against forecasts; report and interpret
- Comply with local, state, and federal government tax and other reporting requirements
- Provide managers with information required by them to carry out their assigned responsibilities
- Manage independent accountants and Coordinate provision of information to auditors for audit
- Prepare operating data and special reports,
- Provides advice to Chief Financial Officer
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Eight (8) years of accounting and finance experience;
- Four (4) years of “Big 4”, or very similar, audit experience
- Three (3) recent years of medium ($75M+) software, SaaS and managed services
- NetSuite ERP experience as Controller
- Active Certified Public Accountant license (CPA)
