1. Honor top D.C. talent

Our formula behind the award program is to drive mentorship, ignite collaboration & celebrate the movers & shakers of Greater Washington, D.C.
For upcoming events, visit the RecognizeDC website.
Each year, we partner with leading companies in the region to host three annual award events: Top Accounting Executives, GovCon Summit and Top HR & Talent Professionals.
Top Accounting Executives
Outstanding work is not exclusive to the top level of an organization, so recognition should not be limited to those select few individuals. Every year, RecognizeDC honors the achievements of the often overlooked and underappreciated, Accounting Executive. More widely known as the disseminators of financial information to all interested parties, these professionals are simultaneously the lead analyzer, interpreter, problem solver, company historian and number translator for non-number people. Excellence in Accounting Executives leads to excellence throughout the company and is therefore an achievement to be celebrated.
RecognizeDC’s annual GovCon Summit recognizes Federal and Government Contracting visionaries, influencers and leaders in the D.C. metro area. Each year, a dynamic panel of thought leaders provides a unique perspective on the industry.
Top HR & Talent Professionals
The HR and talent community in the D.C. metro area plays a vital role in the growth and success of organizations across all industries, especially today as we are experiencing significant changes in the landscape of the traditional workplace. The 2019 Top HR & Talent Professionals event celebrates professionals who have made significant, positive changes within the organizations they serve.
In addition to our annual awards, we host a series of industry-specific networking events throughout the year to foster collaboration amongst the D.C. business community. Past events include:
• JMU Accounting Alumni Networking
• Financial Leaders Scotch Tasting
• Public Company Accounting Leaders Networking and Bourbon Tasting
• Technology Financial Leadership Meet Up
• Big Four Accounting at Nationals Stadium
• Oktoberfest Networking Event
• Summer Networking at Don Titos
